I open the shutters.
White on black in my sight.
Feeling like a child
and the smiles I remember.
The bamboos are bending.
The palm tree becomes ball.
A water drop falls
just when I was dreaming.
Footprint in the snow.
Just velvet paws
one of our neighbors.
I think of the sparrow,
magpies and crows,
with no way to eat,
their maggots and seeds
under the blanket of snow.
Maybe just one day here
and one month elsewhere.
