I keep meaning to setup a plan9 vm but something else always seems to suck my time. If you had to say one amazing thing about plan9 to give me a kick up the ass to get it done what would it be?

i guess you can mount /proc/pid of other machine's process t your machine and debug the process running on other machine. i think it should provide you a framework for developing distributed programs. this comes to my mind first, but i cannot resist to say that i think inferno is the next step and is superior to plan9, jsut we use plan9 more because it supports some legacy like c in userspace and we want that legacy instead of concentrating on inferno and writing new code in limbo or porting existing software to limbo.

honestly i cant really say any reason in particular i like it so much i just do lol. literally everything being a file is neat tho and i like 9p as well. i think id use inferno more if inferno was more active, or at the very least there were more active forks like plan 9 has

TBH for me it's more about a lack of time, but planning to joining https://sdf.org/plan9/ which has a ready-made grid :-D but it's wonderful to see the commits on 9front git happening every day
