#Lore24 - Day 3 - Memory Addresses

Up a Level

For my third day, I want to talk about memory addresses[1] in the world of Fedran. These are originally inspired by IPv6 headers and later by content hashing schemes like ones used for IPFS and work around the idea that an address can only be two of three things[2]: global, unique, and memorable.

1: /memory-address/

2: http://www.skyhunter.com/marcs/petnames/IntroPetNames.html

Working with memories is also inspired by the Tor Network and bit torrents. The address (hash) of the memory can easily be communicated but the memory itself cannot be accessed unless it can be “downloaded” by someone else. But, once downloaded, a telepath can publish that address and start answering requests.
