RPoD has intermittently been going down, and always when I am out of town. I have it plugged into an oversized UPS which is plugged into a dedicated power circuit in my home. The 'fix' has been to have my wife power cycle the machine. This occurs once I realize it's down, and when I am working, this can be days.
RPoD is currently a Raspberry Pi 4 in a case that has an M.2 SSD socket. I am going to replace this machine with a Lenovo ThinkCentre, 8GB RAM, 500GB SSD. I am not going to change the name from RPoD (Raspberry Pi of Death) to TCoD (ThinkCentre of Death) due to continuity and personal preference reasons. I also planning on swapping the gopherd to gophernicus because the CGI workings are similar to the Xylophar gopherd I wrote in freebasic that currently runs RPoD.
If I get the ThinkCentre while I am home this weekend then I will do the swap before heading back to work. If my luck holds and I fo not receive the hardware yet then it'll get done at my earliest conveinience later on.
RPoD has always run Raspbian/Raspberry Pi OS (Debian). I am planning on switching over to Ubuntu on the ThinkCentre. This and switch to an AMD64 architecture should mean easier access to more software.
Thank you for bearing with me while my uptime sucks!
