And Lagrange for Gemini is there on Flathub, of course. Built from the maintainer Skyjake. Very good.
I made a fresh installation of Fedora 38, which had recently been released. I use Fedora for many years now and always feel like coming home. Good old Fedora. :-) In addition I always llike to use flatpak apps, so the Fedora itself is more or less in original state. That's fine for the next upgrade in 6 months.
As I checked out recently, I have at least 7 - 10 different mail addresses in use. To shrink that down I chose now an account at tutanota.com. Sounds to be very good in respecting privacy. Some addresses will be killed and made new at Tutanota. Also a good time to get ridd off many spam mails. I pay for this account and my "free mail" accounts will be closed in a time.
I'm thinking about to write another blog on gemlog.blue. But when I open content from there I get the notice of an expired certificate from 2023-03-22. Is this service alive and maintained?
Haiku OS and FreeBSD are currently my favorite systems on my laptop. On bare metal I run FreeBSD 13.2 and with VirtualBox Haiku OS on it. I love both. Haiku is in a very stable beta 4 stage and getting better and better. The desktop theme is coming from the old BEOS. It is fully functional with many apps and modern code. Both system are free and open source. Always good to give them a try, at least to play around in Virtualbox. FreeBSD is a little bit harder to install, including a desktop environment. There is NomadBSD, a live system for usb-stick with a very modern desktop, built on top of FreeBSD. Another favorite and I use it often.
Gemini is getting more and more interesting. I'm crawling around and find many interesting sites. And it's so relaxing, just to read text.
Good news! The installation of a new server has finished. I directly started my "new" capsule and wrote some stuff. It is again in German language and the themes are the old ones: diabetes typ 2, living vegan. I will make a new topic about pc themes like FreeBSD and Haiku. And I made a backup of the content...
My only server died a few days ago. :-/ The gemini site "Mameko's Ecke" ist down and probably lost. I will install a new server today and write the site new again.
My new capsule in German language. gemini://mameko.ddns.net. About diabetes, vegan living and cooking. More articles are following.
Hi everybody. Have a nice Sunday. :-) I'm new here and the post before from Oscar is me as well. I'm working on getting both identities together (2 Computers).
