I've been running Linux Mint for about a week now, and I'm definitely really impressed with it. The install process was quick and painless, and Cinnamon is intuitive and familiar. Definitely something I'd feel comfortable recommending my non-techie friends.

Mint was my first Linux, long before I properly got interested in Linux a decade later. Had it on the family computer as a kid for a while, and I picked up Cinnamon easily even then. Never had to open the terminal. I still recommend Mint to beginners who ask for an easy Linux distro. · 6 months ago

Yeah, Mint is nice. In fact, Mint 19.1 "Tessa" was the first distro I installed and used on bare metal. · 6 months ago
