I will be making such a request as soon as I am financially able as it may cost in excess of 1000 GBP! This is, after all "Rip off Britain" as my late father used to say. Please note that current UK legislation does NOT take into account any history of domestic abuse (including financial abuse) or any other fact relevant to the case, nor financial hardship incurred therefrom. For this reason, the CMS can be considered to be promoting domestic abuse (by allowing threat of financial hardship to be weaponised as a control mechanism to deter victims from leaving an abusive relationship) and as a tool by which financial abuse my be a viable form of 'revenge abuse' by the perpetrator, and the CMS (in British legal terminology) AIDING AND ABETTING the financial abuse of victims. Additionally, this system does not take into consideration the financial situation of the 'receiving parent', nor their ACTUAL use of the finances so received.
See the costing page of the Office for National Statistics for details.
