A simple but useful 2FA app. Good FOSS alternative to something like Google Authenticator. 2FA codes can easily be exported and imported. No online sync (the app doesn't even have the internet access permission) which may or may not be a feature depending on how much you value convenience vs security. Can be found on the Play Store or Fdroid.
An app that simply gives you notifications whenever an app is installed/updated. Useful for those who have automatic updates enabled but still want to keep tabs on what's being updated. Available on the Play Store.
FOSS password manager. The server can be self hosted if you're someone who finds that useful. Available on the Play Store.
A simple RSS reader. Available on the Play Store or Fdroid.
FOSS Reddit client. Also happens to be one of the best looking Reddit clients. Available on the Play Store or Fdroid.
Companion app for the Joplin markdown note desktop app. Useful if you like taking notes in markdown and want them available on both your desktop and phone. Available on the Play Store.
A super valuable tool for getting notification syncing, media syncing, file sharing, remote input, and way more across your phone and desktop. A must have if you're using KDE Plasma on your desktop but still useful if you're not. Available on the Play Store and Fdroid.
Periodically gets new images from an online or local source of your choosing and sets them as your wallpaper with an optional blur effect. A must-have if you like regularly switching your wallpaper. Can be extended with new sources so the options are pretty limitless. Available on the Play Store or Fdroid.
Handy if you ever need to quickly ssh into something and only have your phone on you. Get it from Fdroid because the Play Store version is no longer being updated.
This app uses Android's VPN API to block ads, trackers, and analytics on a per-app basis. You can also easily look at stats for how chatty each of your apps has been and completely cut off internet access for certain apps. Get it from F-Droid or Github since the version on Google Play lacks some features.
A pretty friendly Mastodon client. Available on the Play Store or Fdroid.
