The Pile 20230208 (20230302 edit)

Having just read solderpunk's "Orphans Of Netscape" again, I noticed their reference to the "sidelines", and am reminded of something I've thought of over and over in the past 5 years or so...

that humanity, especially that in the "Western" world, is one giant pile of People, most of who are in the center of the mass (centrists) and who are literally unable to see the outside of said pile.

There is a small "cadre" of humans (who I am loathe to refer to them as "People"... they are all better referred to as "ghouls") who have all the resources available to themselves, and they use all of that in order to fool most of the Pile of People (HEY!) into thinking "This Is Fine"...

there is also one side of the Pile trying to pull the Pile "left", as well as the opposite side trying to pull the Pile "right".

Obviously this isn't "The Greatest" analogy of Reality, but I do believe it is very close, and it can maybe get many people to think about their reality.
