I'm Pete. This is my first page in Gemini space!
I'm here for the markup?
I am a huge fan of wikis. I've used them at work for many years at this point. My first wiki was TWiki, but I've also used a random Windows-based one I can't remember (maybe it was ScrewTurn wiki?), and Oddmuse (which I set up here at SDF for awhile) and MediaWiki (both on Wikipedia and at my job). I've also used Confluence (didn't like, liked even less when they took markup away!)
Currently my wiki outlet besides work is the dokuwiki install here at SDF that was set up for SDF-and-Unix tutorials. It's here, if your gemini browser is set up with a helper app for HTML pages:
So what this has to do with gemini is I do like the simplicity and text-based nature, and I do like that the default gemini markup is human-readable and writable. There have been, to my mind, several decent ideas for a wiki-based protocol, and I may still be more interested in them (like Titan?) than anything else, but I do like the "legs" gemini appears to have, and I can adapt to writing markup via a different mechanism than for browsing.
