Donal O'Regan, 21 Mar
THE MAN who died while out hunting in County Limerick has been laid to
rest.
Paul Roche, aged in his early 60s, was among a number of men out
hunting with dogs on Sunday, March 10.
It is understood Mr Roche collapsed while walking at around 2.45pm in
the townland of Ballytrasna, which is between Old Pallas and
Cloverfield, and adjacent to the Hill of Nicker.
He had travelled from his home in James Connolly Park, Tipperary Town.
The other men immediately went to his aid, began resuscitation and
called emergency services.
Gardai, Cappamore Fire Service, National Ambulance Service and the air
ambulance all responded but Mr Roche passed away.
One local told the Limerick Leader when they heard the air ambulance in
the sky they knew something serious had occurred.

“It is a shocking thing to happen. Everybody did their very best to
help him. May he rest in peace,” said the local.
