I don't have enough space yet at home to install a home-boulder-wall (which is a thing!), but I've been researching on regular workout I can perform at home to help my performance at the bouldering place. I guessed the arms were important, as well as the abs, but apparently also the back (which actually makes sense) as a professional personal trainer -not of mine- told me casually. I'm not an expert but I do know a bit about training at home so I decided to change my regular workout to be climbing centered. There are a lot of things (including for example some TRX related exercises) but my favorite ones are "Yoga for climbers". I've been refusing Yoga a lot because I don feel like the concept itself is well projected in Europe. This is because I try to keep away from mystic stuff as much as possible, and more importantly capitalism-taken mystic stuff. This being said I found out some people using yoga physical concept to make a nice, respectful and coherent workout based on it, and this: I do like. So I found some climbing trainers who made some guiding online sessions and recorded them during the pandemic about Yoga positions and workout which could help with strength in arms and balance which are very very important in the climbing technique. Here are a couple of them (they are from youtube but worry not since I'm linking a invidious instance):

Anyway, I'm very confident on my progress but arm strength is my main weakness since I stopped practicing weapon based martial arts. Therefore, I have a long way to go. The most complicated postures, I cannot yet perform them. But I will get there! Iḿ also hiring a climbing trainer during may so they can help me.
