I'm a child of the 80s and an Orphan of Netscape ¹. My first computer was an Amstrad CPC 6128 with the green GT65 monitor.

I unsuccessfully tried to learn some assembly on that. Apparently nobody told me I would need an assembler, and after some frustration with the Basic prompt that didn't understand the assembly instructions I found in a magazine, I stuck on with Basic. The effects of that choice are still lingering after all those years.
I'll mostly write tech-related essays. Interests include OpenBSD, Linux, NodeJS and Javascript, cryptocurrencies (only Bitcoin & Monero), Fediverse, Nostr, and some more general musings about decentralization, technology and computing.
