I live in the south of Sweden since 2004.
Spending most of my time in a flat in central Malmö. Back to working from home again since December 2022. Been updating the home office a bit.
Weekends and sometimes for weeks I'm in my holiday home, a cottage in the woods, ~60 km from Malmö. The cottage actually has better Internet connectivity than my flat!
I share these dwellings with my wife Petra and our kid, often mentioned as #3 in my gemlog. My two grown kids Ludvig (#1) and Gabriel (#2) have moved out.
Quite into historical longsword fencing in the German tradition (training with MHFS) since a few years now. Slowly getting better at it. I'm also into cycling minimalist bikes.
Trying to get back into reading fiction, mostly SF&F.
In late 2022 the small research team I was a part of at Mullvad VPN split into different companies. One of them is my current employer, Tillitis AB, which designs and sells security hardware. The main office is in Gothenburg but I mostly work from home or co-working spaces in Malmö.
Trying to work a ~30-32 hour week since 2008, mostly to get more time with my family, my books, my swords, my bikes, and to keep my wits about me.
I continue to practise zazen, the zen buddhist form of sitting meditation which I started doing in my teens.
You can find me in the Fediverse at @mc@hackers.town. I have been known for taking social media breaks from time to time. Please note that toots are deleted automatically so if I'm on one of my breaks my timeline may be empty.
I update my Gemini log quite often:
Most of the local groups I was a part of are dormant: Malmö Open Source Interest Groug (MOSIG), the hackerspace Forskningsavd (web-site down and the space closed), #merakrypto, et cetera. Our weekly hacker's lunch is still alive but it was virtual-only for quite a while during the pandemic.
