orion, my own gemini server, is now 3 months old and I'm quiet happy. orion powers this capsule and since it's start I have not enountered any obstacles at all. So far it does exactly what it should and I'm happy with it.
Yesterday I tweaked the README file of the project a little bit to lower the entry bar. I also submitted a request to gemini.circumlunar.space to include it in the list of Gemini software, which has not happened yet.
The project is still alife and I'm happy how it goes so far. I think I will focus the effort on orion more to keep it as simple as possible, so that it might become one day a good entrance project for people who are interested in hosting their own capsule.

This morning someone was trying to setup his own capsule using my orion server on uberspace.de and had some struggles with configuring the port access. On Uberspace multiple users share one single instance, so unless you can run a reverse proxy, you end up on a different port. At least that's what I got from the discussion, as I'm not an uberspace.de user.
The @ubernauten@uberspace.social mastodon account was more than helpful to guide him in the right direction and even wrote a small tutorial on how to do this:

Shoutout to uberspace.de for providing amazing support even for a niece protocol like gemini. Apparently we can have nice things :-)
