Do you want to play telephone with me? *You can skip to # How to play.*
Here I rediscovered ascii/unicode art, and I love it!
I still remember the day my father printed a picture of a woman using only ascii characters... It was very unique, and I remember thinking about the amount of work required to do it...
When I grew up, I saw it as a funny thing from the past. I learned the `cowsay` command, (by the way: `$ cowsay -f head-in wtf`), and nowadays it is a fun thing that AI still doesn't get right. Maybe I'm wrong, but unless it is trained specifically on this, I think a general GPT can't learn ascii art.
I'm not very good at it, but I'll learn!
I recently rewatched a video of people playing telephone online which gave me this idea.
They play with: audio -> animation -> audio -> ...
Let's play! ~Bartender, people say that this game is funnier with alcohol, but I disagree. I'll take a beer after we are done :) Do you want to join us?
We will do
text -> ascii/unicode art -> text -> ...
I'm starting. This text is encoded in base64. Don't look at it yet.
1. ~walk (write) SSdtIHZlcnkgc2NhcmVkIG9mIHRoZSBzZXJpYWwga2lsbGVyLi4uIEknbGwgaGlkZSB1bmRlciBhIHRhYmxlIGp1c3QgaW4gY2FzZS4=
1. Reply "I'll play the next turn (draw)"
2. Reload the page. Make sure you are the only one who commented. If someone else did, wait for your turn (Maybe write a comment so we can let you know?)
3. Look at the text, for example using this tool to decode it.
4. Relax. Take your time to play your turn. When you are done, edit your message, with your hidden drawing:
2. ~walk (draw) Here I'd put a hidden drawing for the next player
5. Let's stop after 10 turns? After that, we can publish the raw material for everyone to see! If this experiment works and we want to keep playing, we could start again.
Have a good time!
