About

The Benson Place is a family farm situated 1700 ft. high on Burnt Hill at the eastern edge of Massachusetts Berkshire Range. The farm consists of over 30 acres of certified organic wild blueberry barrens and another 10 acres of the hill where we raise pastured chickens and goats, create vibrant pollinator habitat, and develop permaculture-inspired food systems. We farm for nutrient density; using traditional methods as well as the cutting-edge practices of sap analysis and customized foliar sprays, we work to optimize plant and animal health and the health of the community whom we serve.

The blueberry harvest is a short two-week season running from the end of July through early August. Beginning July 5th each year, you can make a reservation for pre-picked berries or schedule a PYO appointment.

Pastured chickens, rotated through a 6-acre chestnut and elderberry silvopasture currently being established and supplemented with organic grain cultured in goat whey, are available for pre-order on our website for pickup at pickup locations around the valley. You can order our certified organic wild blueberry syrup for shipment anywhere in the lower 48 or pick up a bottle at many local coops or farm stores.

Thank you for supporting us to do what we love: growing nourishing food for you, our community.
