This is probably not going to expand much. A means analogue, D means digital.
I'm interested in watches because they look nice! I like both analogue and digital. Not so much of a fan of Casio, but they do make a lot of good models.
Below are all the ones I've owned so far, excluding cheapo crappy ones I had or models that I can't dig up out of the black hole that is my house.
Casio are a Japanese electronics company that manufacture more than just timepieces. It was founded in 1946 after World War II, and they released their first digital wristwatch in 1974. They're more known for their G-SHOCK line in the watch world.
Samsung are a South Korean tech company that is absurdly large. You won't find any regular, non smart watches here... ew.
Timex are a US-based company originally founded in 1854, so they've got a lot of experience. Known for making cheap but good value watches. They were originally called the Waterbury Clock Company, they were purchased by Ingersoll, bought back by Waterbury, renamed U.S. Time Corporation in 1944, and eventually renamed themselves Timex Corporation in 1969. Since 2008 the US arm has been called Timex Group USA, and held by the American-Dutch holding company Timex Group BV.
