I'm back into the abyss again. No energy to do anything really. This song cheered me up for a bit though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Appmg64tZB0

@elektito I feel for you, I had the same problems. Note taking was a source of stress until I learned how to do this in a way that works for me :( · 9 months ago

@dimkr I use various note taking programs, files and apps. They do help quite a bit with off-loading stuff from my brain, but they're very disorganized and sometimes a source of worry on their own. I've tried a couple of times to use an actual paper notebook, but I keep forgetting to take it with me around, and it messes up the whole thing. Also, I never know what to do with all the items that will be left over (and there's always lots of those). · 9 months ago

This happens to many of us. Have you tried journaling? My journal is a continuous checklist (not daily tasks), I push stuff (even things like eating lunch and things I must do ASAP) to this list throughout the day so I can stop thinking about them and have a box to tick later, skip tasks when something is more fun or more important and sometimes strike out tasks I skipped and never returned to. This journal follows me wherever I go and helps me avoid both procrastination and anxiety, and see my achievements. · 9 months ago

Thanks folks for the kind words. FWIW, Tears of the Kingdom is gonna be released on Friday. That's a ray of hope right there! · 9 months ago

I hope you bounce back! I really know how this feels. I felt like doing really nothing but not out of tiredness, but I was burnt out. I didn't want even to play some videogame, I felt useless. (I have depression). But I finally bounced back, give yourself time and don't worry too much. Hope you get out of the abyss soon! · 9 months ago

For me, it's a rollercoaster. I might pass months without will to do anything, then months very active developing something, then other months where I just want to play videogames, sometimes just watching TV series and movies. But I know none of those states are "forever".

So I just do what I feel like, to the extent I can, trying not to feel bad about not doing thing X, knowing I'll come back to it.

Cheers and hope you find your mojo again! · 9 months ago

It cheered you up for a bit because... you know... it's a bit!

But on a more serious note, I see you are a very active person, through your posts while docked here and your capsule. I don't know you or understand what you mean by abyss.

But I do think you can embrace not doing anything sometimes, learn to hear your body and brain, as long as that doesn't make you unhappy. · 9 months ago
