Hi station! The smoke from Canada has finally passed away, leaving our skies clear for the first time in a few days. It has been very strange to be able to look at the sun in the middle of the day; everything was in an unsettling haze. Our dog was especially uneasy and quick to bark or growl.

As someone who understands these things very little, it seems to me that a Gemini plain text (or even gemtext) email client might be very nice indeed. Is this a bad idea? Is it feasible? I can think of a few drawbacks, but none that would be absolutely prohibitive.

It's so easy to forget about gemini but such a delight to remember. I've been doing a lot of messing since I discoved gemini through lab6.com in July. I finally made myself a personal website at https://satch.xyz, created my own IRC server for my friends, created a personal searx instance, etc. But it is a time draw. It's a lot of fun and I learn a lot, but I am in my senior year of high school and trying to get my homework done and apply to MIT and all this stuff is fun but do I really have time for it... ? It's WAY more addicting to me than normie social media lol because I'm not turned off in the same way
