My journey to geminispace

First blog post yee.

I was already a gemini user for some time before actually participating. I used to spend most of time searching things up on [geminispace](gemini://geminispace.info).

Safe to say my first experiences.. mediocre at best. I think one of main reasons why my first experiences were not great was probably how i found out geminispace even existing.

I used to go on these incredibly toxic linux spaces on matrix a lot which some of the most toxic people mostly from matrix server runned by https://plan9.rocks had fairly inactive gemini

capsules. This really hurted my first experience. Geminispace(or people in geminispace to be more accurate) was kinda cemented on my mind as a place of FOSS Snobs and elitists.

But i did not stop going on geminispace. A Platform so simple at an age of complexity was so interesting to me and was.

Eventually after these dwellings around 6 months ago i found tilde.pink. I mean i was aware of tilde.pink before but did not really payed any attention to it.

After that time i kind of stopped using gemini before coming back at new year. I started to research this place more and more and became aware of the community surrounding tilde.pink.

This place allowed me to break the remnants of the aforementioned streotype of gemini users. A couple weeks came by and i finally requested my capsule a week ago. And here i am.

Despite being new to this place i am already feeling like home in broader tildeverse. Looking forward for my time here!
