How to discuss a lengthy article from http land on gemspace?

I came across a fascinating (to me, anyway) article and wanted to share it here on gemspace for discussion.

The only options I could think of were:

1. Just link to http (boo!)

2. Link to Newswaffle, if it works for this article and that’s allowed here.

3. Copy and paste the article

The only one that seems right to me (it it works) is Newswaffle but I’m interested in opinions (esp. moderator / admin ones). Thoughts?

IMO, always include the original HTTP link and for convenience, you can also add the Newswaffle link. This way people can choose whether they want to use their web browser, HTTP Gemini proxy, or see the Gemtext conversion of the original article.

Copying the contents here is not acceptable as that would likely be copyright infringement.

Http links are fine, and seem like the right thing if you want to talk about something on the web. People can and do choose whether to follow such links :)

@skyjake that sounds ideal.
