# Four Pointers before joining "any" school Variable: put yourfiled here = "field" ## Study Methodology Find your **methodology** and plan and organize your studies for that use organizing software such as notion. - Follow your own **Circadium Rythm** - Everyone has different **sleep-wake cycle.** If you are not comforable dont push too much on early morning studying routine. Instead follow what time best suits you. - **Dont buy books** - Dont waste money on buying expensive books. Use online resources. - **Dont make notes** - Making Notes is waste of time and energy. Use notes that are already made for you. - Instead of writing record **notes from your own voice** and listen them in free time. - Know if you are **visual** learner or **auditory** one. and use that method. - **Dont** **waste time** **watching** **video lectures**. Instead read topics yourself and watch youtube video on individual topics to clear concepts. - Instead of remember based study do **understand concepts** and **apply them to your life** to remember them. - Practice questions - Use flashcard based study with **Anki Cards Software** to reconcile what you learn. Make cards of your own to practice questions and do anki cards **first time in morning** and evening **before going to sleep.** - Plan your studies and todos with **notion** app. (Dont understimate planning) ## FOMO - Fear of Missing out While you studying **seeing people living their life** can create FOMO anxiety attack. Which makes you doubt if you wasting your time not enjoying your early days in studying. To get around it - - Delete Social Media or avoid using it much - In social Modia people only post best part of their life. - Understand that you are not alone. And this is worth your effort. ## Marathon Your field is **Not a sprint but a marathon** - So dont get burnout while studying - Put little time aside for your hobbies and friends or familiy - Even after finishing the exam you might want speciality course. - And there will always be next one to prepare. - So enjoy your life by finding balance in both things. ## Non-Same Field Friends Make non field friends - Its better for mental health - You will have same field friend from the start to practicing - It will feel like a breath of fresh year. - so connect new people through your hobbies, values. - You will see your field stuff is not everything. and helps you get out of your field bubble. ## Not Enough [Bonus] You will be surronding by hardworking and intelligent student. Seeing their knowledge makes you feel **out of place** and you’l think you’re are **less than others**. Because in your hometown school you were top student and here everone are toppers. know that: - You are chosen to be placed in this school for a reason - You deserved to be in that class or school as much as others do. - Even if you **dont feel confident** and you **dont know enough** use that as motivation for you to study. - Its **easy to compare** yourself with **peers** but try and focus on your **own progress**. - Someone else’s success is **not the absense** of your success.
