PinePhone Pro

I recently aquired a PinePhone Pro from:

https://pine64.org

Currently the OS options and applications are in heavy development right now and much of the functionality is not yet stable.

History

I attended Google's I/O Meetup in 2019 and received their Android phone and for several years, I was a big fan of the OS. Over the last few years though I have been dissapointed even horrified by the spying that takes place through Google, Android, IOS and their applications.

I had also purchased several Android phones from Samsung however the last phone I had which was a Samsung S9 from my employer turned out to be unable to flash any other OS onto it.

I decided that I would never again purchase a Samsung phone and I would also not support/purchase products with Android.

I looked at phone options and considered the Librem, Pine64, and other phones which were capable of being flashed with other Operating systems.

I finally settled on getting the PinePhone Pro with the following specs:

It has been a bit of rough ride so far with the phone. I have spent a lot of time reading and posting to the pine64 forum at:

http://forum.pine64.org/forumdisplay.php?fid=177

I have tried multiple Linux Mobile distros with different Interfaces.

I have decided to post my experiences here in Gemini as I try different options and my experiences.
