Museum

Here are things I find particularly interesting. A dizzying array of genres and topics is bound to accrue here over time. Synopses accompany each entry or will soon. Probably.

Karl Dahlke: Command Line Programs for the Blind

Philosophy piece on Dahlke's site

An archive.org backup of the same

Karl Dahlke is the original and primary (I think, still?) developer of `edbrowse`, a text-oriented file editor and web browser designed for blind and low-vision people. His essay on the topic might expand how you think about accessibility. The program described may seem alien to non-computer-nerds.

IFAPA

IFAPA.me. Brace your eyes.

IFAPA is a strange mixture of esoterica and actual sociopolitical commentary. It contains interesting links to more of the latter. I place it here not necessarily to espouse its political stances, which I haven't read all of. I showcase it for its aesthetic vision and unapologetic expression.

One Shared House

One Shared House, a ten minute documentary

One Shared House 2030, the ongoing sequel project

I typically prefer simple text-based webpages, but One Shared House won me over through sheer polish. Forget the poignant storytelling that results in a powerful appeal to communal living; this page is a technical masterpiece. It's intuitive, loads quickly, and handled all the browser resizing I threw at it in an attempt to ruin its day. It just worksâ„¢. So few things do.
