So I never really was a great speller. I always did poorly on spelling tests in school and if anyone had read anything I wrote on this glog prior to this morning where I have fixed my spelling mistakes on my old posts, they can attest to this being the case. Of course I could and probably should take some time with a dictionary and actually learn how to spell, but who really has time for that? I just worry people think I'm an idiot because I can't spell well. Something about all the vowels in English all making the same noise at in different words makes it really hard to sound it out for me.
I was spoiled when I was learning German, all their vowels make sense. The only ones you need to look out for is 'e' and 'ä' making the same sound but 'ä' is far less frequent so when in doubt its almost always 'e'.
In an attempt to find a spell checker for vim, turns out it has one built in, I found an article mentioning aspell. Aspell is great, just feed it a text file and it walks through it, offering a handful of suggestions and having the capability of adding new words to its dictionary. Vim's spell checker was shit and I found it more distracting when the text I wrote was highlighted so I disabled it again and just started using aspell after I wrote.
So hopefully from now on my posts will be easier to read :)
Oh and I wrote a program to auto format the text so its going to be less wonky.
