I read about SimpleX and I liked its focus on metadata-resistance. Is there however any GUI client for desktop GNU/Linux or *BSD?

It is far more powerful than Signal, but it is still much worse than Briar's off-grid communication ability and a large number of relay servers relying on the Tor network.
Simplex Chat — Is anybody else familiar with Simplex Chat? I just started checking it out a couple days ago and it seems like a neat little messenger. It reminds me of a kind of middle ground between Signal and Briar.
