This is a gemlog for the SpellBinding puzzle, in which you construct words using the specified letters (each word must contain the anchor letter).
AMAZE AZALEA ITEMIZE LAZE LEMMATIZE MAIZE MAZE METALIZE METALLIZE MIZZLE ZEAL ZETA
Pangrams: METALIZE METALLIZE. I do dislike multiple spellings of the same word, especially the L/LL combo. There are many British variants that are double-L. I generally leave single-l variants (I do not want to make the game too British :). In this case both variants are in circulation, and the double-L one looks more right to me for some reason.
A very small puzzle. Funny, big puzzles are frustrating because you look at the total and feel hopeless, but small puzzles can be annoying because there are not many solutions, and often the one taking you to genius level is really hard to get.
LEMMATIZE... In linguistics, to organize lexically related words. In mathematics, a lemma is a secondary proposition used to demonstrate another proposition.
MIZZLE is a fine-dropped rain, much like drizzle (noun or verb).
MAIZE is of course corn, the only food (since I missed delicious MEZE and bland MATZA). Do not, under any circumstances, eat any part of AZALEA bushes, or any Rhododendronas they are toxic!
Missed: TAZZA MEZE MATZA LEZZIE TEAZEL
Another day.
