It feels like such a lost opportunity when someone who is otherwise close to being on the same page around something that so few people grok is so fuddled on climate change, the most important issue of all time.

Climate change seemed top-billing important to me at one time, and I changed behavior(s) accordingly.

But a couple decades later I came to believe that anti- social/civil/self/others behavior - including that which compromises biological environment - is driven by an unfortunate representation/modeling of "reality" whose grip I've felt loosen by seeing "the nature of reality" differently than I'd been advised to whilst allegedly becoming the me others told me I was. And that loosening has been sufficiently wonderful to want to share what seemed to lead me to it with others.

So, okay.. you have a cause that rises above all others for you, and so do I.

We could’ve been awesome friends. It’s rare to find people who have some experience transcending this sorts stuff.

What would I need to be doing differently to make the cut?

That was a li’l wakeup call for me.

Varieties of thoughts and statements accomplish such for me, but of course their efficacy waxes and wanes.

The first post I ever read of yours was an answer to one of mine saying it’s no use regulating fossil fuel extraction before we’ve legislated around the illusion of individuality. And I don’t have beef around the second part of that statement. I do with the first, the “it’s no use until” part.

Okay, so I was leaning a bit heavily on the hyperbole pedal that day. Change "no" to "limited".

Here is the one thing that matters more than who we are and where we’re coming from, the one thing bigger than our egos, and we get stuck in a wisdom contest.

Because* individuality - aka who we are, where we're coming from. That's why there is no universal/objective mattering, and thus the possibility of getting stuck on "what matters". "What matters" is purely an individual matter. (Pun intended.)

Until* the dis-ease of individuality unravels - and, I believe, with it the self-centric behaviors at the core of climate/environment destruction.
