In part because I still think rights (ownership sense) are wrongs

Okay, that song I mentioned a while back, getting a little panic-stricken over "rights" leading to more revelation than I felt comfortable with?

Well... the hell with "rights". A few reasons:

Lemme 'splain:

Sometime in the early 00's was I living with my brother back in my hometown a couple years after a somewhat devastating divorce, and then an ill-advised "relationship" with a former classmate. (I actually sat behind her in first grade.. and mentioned that fact to her at a "class reunion", which somehow led her to get in touch with me "out of band"... which, well... do some 30-something "hormonal logic" math....)

It was even a little weirder than all that, as at the time a former best friend of mine married my high school girlfriend, and they lived across the street from my brother.... <coughing fit>

But, anyway, I was very much in "NEVER AGAIN!!!" mode (which included alcohol as well, as I'd had about 30 too many "Jager bombs" one night that my brother's friends (nearly six years younger than I) visited the residence).

But, lo and behold.. lo *AND* behold....

What I was beholding was the result of changing some social network (don't remember which..) "distance from" search parameter to its maximum setting (250 miles), leading to chancing upon a pair of profiles that rather caught my eye.

Of course, the one I was most enamored of, well, we did interact a fair amount, and I even visited her locale, and she showed me around. But I was clearly not her cup of motor oil, so....

The other? Well, we interacted a couple times online, and that also went nowhere. But I was in a song-writing mood one day, and decided that perhaps writing a song about each might somehow "turn the tide" as it were. <rolls retrospective eyes>

It didn't. :-)

Here she is:
