That's sad to hear.

I met him a few times when we were both in Zurich, he was inspiring to listen to on the subject of open source--as you would expect.

:q! indeed. VIM is truly great software and my most used program. Thank you Bram

Vim is the first thing i install on an OS, and i rush to set EDITOR in the shell's config. Can't do nothing without it.

Doubly sad to read, as: (1) vim has easily been my favorite editor since first learning of it, and (2) Bram was born in the year of my birth <leans to listen for Death's faint knocks>....

The author and maintainer of Vim, Bram Molenaar, passed away today. Thank you, Bram, for such a wonderful program that has stood the test of time. :wq
