The author and maintainer of Vim, Bram Molenaar, passed away today.

I met him a few times when we were both in Zurich, he was inspiring to listen to on the subject of open source--as you would expect.

Vim is the first thing i install on an OS, and i rush to set EDITOR in the shell's config. Can't do nothing without it.
