What other text only internet protocols exist? Currently know of Gopher, Gemini, Netamict, and Line Mode Browser if that sounds! What else is out there?

WAP/WML 1.0 was mostly text only, though you could have tiny monochrome images. I really want to see that make a comeback! · 1 year ago

What’s netamict? · 1 year ago
Our friends over at the Spartan protocol (gemini://spartan.mozz.us/) or (spartan://spartan.mozz.us/). I still use IRC (irc://irc.libera.chat) though freenode died off, I usually hang out in ##rust or #java. There's also a #gemini! I wish Usenet was still a thing but last I checked it was mostly dead or the good stuff hidden behind paid NNTP servers. I also used to play the heck out of MUDs online via telnet. And finally, there's a few text based resources on HTTP like (https://wttr.in). · 1 year ago
