That’s a design code developed by evil corp (google) to make things larger and more usable on the modern giant smartphones. And I guess developers list it in the info about their app to say that it will look like a system app on recent androids, 13 or 14 version.

it doesn't help the fact that they hold advertising and browser monopoly, and actively turning the whole web into a spyware hellscape. A couple of opensource projects isn't enough for their long gone reputation
