So the short version is that I disappeared for months and didn't use any computers in that time (except my phone). When I returned, I found that I'd forgotten my SDF login password (and forgot that I'd set up password recovery), so another two months passed before I realized that I DID set up the recovery option, thus I am back and ready to write.
Also, I found that I'm not the only person who thinks the terminal is a better way to work. This guy gets it;
So now the plan is to finish writing 'Journey into the Darkness' and publish it at last. Should only take a few days to finalize the chapters and correct any mistakes I might have made.
