I wish I lived in an alternate timeline where every pocket-size device had a Palm Universal Connector on the bottom. How rad would it be to be able to clip your phone, *random handheld linux device*, ebook reader, etc. into one of the Palm folding keyboards?

I wish I lived in a timeline where Palm had used a standard USB connector instead of their own proprietary one, then your wish could be reality! 🤠

@Ruby_Witch well yeah, and open and standard connector would have been better. But a standard USB connector on the bottom of PDAs at the time probably would have sucked. It wouldn't have held up well clipping into and out of cradles and keyboards over and over.

There's working project to use an Arduino to convert a Palm Foldable Keyboard into USB so you can use it with any USB compatible host. It is a bit bulky, but it works.
