ok I have to ask... and I don't mean to be pedantic, genuine question. I did read the link, and I actually agree to it. but is it a manifesto? to me it seems like a prediction. shouldn't a manifesto include a "we" and what "we" does?

Oh yeah nothing wrong in that. I just came across the declaration of the independence of Cyberspace for the first time, indeed an interesting declaration by an interesting mind.
