it's also worth mentioning that the https site seems to have an expired certificate, making it inaccessible because it also has hsts enabled. > Will solderpunk eventually return or should we run a maintained instance of the site? it wouldn't hurt to start mirroring/backing up the content on there just in case, though i assume they're just busy managing other things right now. ~zeph
The certificate also seems to be expired which is arguably an even bigger problem. -- Mae Borowski Freelance Journalist > On Monday, Mar 29, 2021 at 08:02, Omar Polo <op@omarpolo.com (mailto:op@omarpolo.com)> wrote: > On 29 March 2021 16:46:18 CEST, CyberTailor <cybertailor@gmail.com> wrote: > > What I mean: > > * a lot of links there are down > > * Italian and Russian translations are still not present there > > * the latest change to git://gemini.circumlunar.space/gemini-site > > occurred a month ago > > > > Will solderpunk eventually return or should we run a maintained > > instance of the site? > > don't know about the outer points you mentioned, but the Italian translation, albeit almost done, it's not yet 100% finished. > -- > Sent from my Android device with K-9 Mail. This has been reported to Solderpunk (by me and certainly by other persons), without results. This is obviously a big crisis for Gemini. See the thread "(?) Let's update the website" for a discussion about possible solutions.

It seems that the response time of the complete process is highly variable and unpredictable. I encourage people to follow the FAQ <gemini://gemini.circumlunar.space/docs/faq.gmi>, section 4.2 and submit patches. I don't know if they will always be processed quickly but I made a patch this morning which was online before lunch.
