I literally read about Gemini and gopher last week and got hooked. In the past I have struggled with all the bloated nonsense of WordPress when all you want to do is to have your own wee place. It is so hard to have your small site. The whole system of complicated templates and SEO plugins made me forget why I wanted to blog in the first place Anyway, just set up my first liitle phlog and I am loving it. Surfing the gropher space has replaced quite a bit of my youTube time. I am looking towards starting something on Gemini too yet I am not too sure wether I should do it on my own VPN server or what. I literally set up my first www and gopher server last weekend and Im not confident at installing from source. So any advice or tips would be quitr welcomed ? Welcome Miguel, > I am looking towards starting something on Gemini too yet I am not too > sure? wether I should do it on my own VPN server or what. If you already have a gopher server, then it should be easy to set up a gemini server on the same box. I would recommend solderpunk's Unsinkable Molly Brown. It is written in Go, so it is pretty easy to build. If you are unable to build it yourself, Go statically links its binaries, so you could perhaps ask someone to email you the binary. https://tildegit.org/solderpunk/molly-brown Feel free to email me directly if you have trouble. ~Stephen
