bannock

bannock is a slightly sweet bread that goes good with butter and / or jam.

ingredients

be sure to set the oven to 450F now, so it warms up while you prepare the bread!

5 cups flour
2 Tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
3 Tbsp syrup
2 cups water
1/4 cups oil

instructions

mix dry ingredients
add the water and oil
mix & knead the dough, add flour if needed
roll out to about 2" thick.
put into a skillet or pan
prick rows into the dough with a fork, make a grid.
cook for 20 minutes.
