Let me start off with the headline: lbry/odysee and bitchute are utter shite.
Okay now I've set the mood. A lot of fuss is being made right now about big tech "censorship". To be frank it's mostly just free speech warriors who don't actually understand what censorship is. Most of these same people think that a book company choosing not to publish certain poorly aged and poorly selling books anymore is "book burning". Fucking ridiculous. Make no mistake the people you hear complaining about "censorship", citing Alex Jones being banned from Youtube after years of getting away with breaking TOS and Donald Trump being banned from Twitter at the very end of his Presidency after years of almost starting WW3 and encoraging his followers to start a violent uprising, don't actually care about freedom of speech. Why would they so often end up endorsing "alt-tech" platforms that end up banning users for expressing views that they don't like? (see parler)

The problem with lbry/odysee and bitchute is that there's basically nothing worth watching on there because it's mainly full of people that have been banned from Youtube. So it's just full of conspiracy theories, qanaon, nazism or edgelords who want to use the n-word. If that's the kind of videos you like watching then... maybe consider not doing that anymore.
I just hate how right-wing freezepeach warriors are dominating the conversation against big-tech and advocacy for alternatives inbetween crying about Dr Seuss and Mr Potatohead.
If you look at the political tendancies of most of the FOSS and Linux advocates you'll find on Youtube, it ranges from centrist to outright right-wing authoritarian. That needs to change.
