I keep running across empty capsules in my travels... Here I'll be showing off the coolest stuff I find in Geminispace.
Flounder: your portal into the small web
The admin page for Flounder, a Gemini site/capsule builder. This has the best guides for how Gemini even works and was a big help for me first starting out on here.
A tilde server/pubnix that provides shell access, gemini/gopher accounts, email, and a couple othr things. Also, obviously, my gracious hosts. If you don't mind learning how to use the command line, it's a great option for building a capsule/gopherhole.
Obvious pick, but this is literally the reason I decided to investigate Gemini at all. I can grow a plant and water other people's plants too? Are you kidding me?? Awesome!
This capsule is just filled to bursting with style and cool stuff. Can you believe they managed to make an ASCII webcomic?!
A fun capsule by a person (or people?) who speaks a LOT of languages and is a native Scots speaker. They've got a lot of interesting links and gemlog posts.
A really cute page that collects facts about the solar system. I loooooooove space so this is a joy.
The coziest and most quaint capsule I've found so far. It has such a unique presentation, I love it.
A new-ish capsule by a writer who has a very interesting idea for what they want to put on Geminispace. Also a fellow AEW fan.
MOZZ.US - Home of the Whopper ™️
The 5th Gemini server in existence! They have a seemingly endless amount of interesting projects based around Gemini and Gopher, and even made their own protocol, Spartan.
The capsule of an object/algorithm who seems to have a lot of intriguing thoughts on tabletops and leftist politics.
I'm obsessed.
A library full of free and public domain books that you can easily read over the Gemini protocol. The Locrian.Zone is pretty cool in general.
Someone's gemlog that goes back to 2010. They've got a lot of interesting thoughts, especially on tech (I enjoyed their Framework Laptop entry.)
The capsule of a musician, witch, and self-proclaimed software geek. She has a grimoire, SCP Archive mirror, music, and fun gemlog posts. Loooving what we got here.
A good gopher landing hub for the uninitiated.
A gopher proxy for Wikipedia. I REALLY like browsing through this.
