A POST-MORTEM is to be carried this Thursday out on the body of a man
discovered at a house close to the Limerick border.
A spokesperson for An Garda SĂochána said they will continue to
investigate all the circumstances surrounding the discovery on
Wednesday at a residence in Ballycrana, Kilross, County Tipperary -
shortly after 4am.
It’s understood the man may have been socialising in the nearby village
of Galbally in Limerick and in Tipperary Town, the night before his
body was found.
The body has since been removed from the scene to the mortuary at
University Hospital Waterford, while the scene at Ballycrana remains
preserved.
The results of a post-mortem examination, which is due to take place
this Thursday, will determine the course of the garda investigation.

Councillor Eddie Ryan, of Galbally, said the man did drink locally and
would have been known to see in the locality.
“He would usually just have a couple of drinks and come home,” Cllr
Ryan told Limerick Live.
According to Cllr Ryan, the man lived just a short distance from the
village.
“People, locally, are sad to hear of something like this happening in
our midst. People are heartbroken to think somebody has died like that
in our area,” he added.
“Gardaà continue to appeal to any person with any information that can
assist with this investigation to contact Tipperary Town garda station
on 062 80670, the garda confidential line on 1800 666 111, or any garda
station,” the garda spokesperson said.
