LIMERICK City and County Council have confirmed the recycling centres
that will be accepting Christmas trees after the festive season.
Recycling centres in Mungret, Kilmallock, Newcastle West and Gortadroma
will accept natural Christmas trees for the month of January 2024.
Opening hours for the Civic Amenity Centres in Mungret, Kilmallock and
Newcastle West can be found at limerickrecyclingcentres.ie while
Gortadroma can be contacted on 069 82339. There is a limit of two trees
per car.

In addition Limerick City and County Council is setting up three
additional collection points where people can drop off their Christmas
trees for recycling.
The collection points will be open from 9.30am until 3pm on the
following days and locations:
Saturday, January 6, 2024 - Our Lady Of Lourdes, Childers Road
Friday, January 12, 2024 - Watch House Cross Complex, Moyross
Saturday, January 13, 2024 - Musgrave’s car park, Park Road, Rhebogue
All trees will be shredded for use as bark mulch across the various
parks in Limerick.
There is a limit of one tree per person - this is a free service.
