I am back in Wyoming after eight days in North Dakota. It is a quiet summer morning and my family is still asleep. After waking up at 0330 for a week, I couldn't make it past 0700...

The only sounds in the house are me typing, the ice maker in the refrigerator, and occasionally the sounds of the kittens one of my cats has (we thought she was too young to go into heat and had planned on getting her fixed in August, we were wrong). Tranquil and still.
