I've been meaning to come back to gemini for ages. The capsule has been offline for a a while, but we're back now. And with a shiny new ASCII logo to boot!
I've got some big ideas about writing some scripts/stuff to manage this site, so I've started to lay things out with that in mind. Posts will be devided into categories which will be represented by directories on the filesystem. Each post will contain a hugo-esque "meta" block with a list of "key: value" pairs. Later this will be used to script index pages and stuff.
I started surfing gemini regularly again thanks to the offpunk project. I saw the 2.0 relase note on HN and decided to give it a shot.

I started writing my own gemini browser last time I got interested in the protocol, and instantly this seemed quite intuitive - like a bunch of my own ideas executed better. So I've been poking around gemspace and getting all excited about it again.
Ironically I don't really use the offline features, but I think they'll be useful later.
Like all real engineers, @thefinn does all his experiments in prod, so this post has gone live before it's finished
