Bubble has now been running on Geminispace.org for a week, and I think things are going rather well. Here are some technical and non-technical observations.

After reading the post, I went in and found the setting for email notifications. Just got one a little bit ago, and it was nice to see that it was a batch instead of a single email perr notification. Nice attention to detail there, I like that you're taking into consideration user's not wanting to be spammed by notifications too much.

For the next version of Bubble, I've made the email sending frequency user-configurable. Currently with a 30 minute fixed frequency there usually still is quite a few emails with just one notification.

I get quite a lot of notifications in much less than 30 minutes. My last notification came to my email roughly 9 minutes after someone commented on a thread I am in.

@satch That is because in v1 it's a system-wide 30 minute interval, appying to all users at the same time. You may get (un?)lucky and the system checks for unseen notifications shortly after they occur.

This has been changed to be per-user.

ah i understand, that makes sense
