This, that, the other

What is the draw of empty promises of the world that we sacrifice perfectly peaceful tranquility for them?

Try hard to ignore what you think religions have told you about "sin" in what follows:

"Sin" is merely willfully embracing - by believing in - being bound to so much less than you are.

Carefully back away from mind, i.e. the appearance of you as though bound to/in a specific individuality (container), one level of containment (aka bondage) nesting down from a not-self/individuality world (container) of alleged individuals.

Speaking of containers, "I" stumbled upon this last night:

Are we rebuilding the centralized web, minus tracking?

Which I imagine having possibly led to degrees of consternation in these parts.

Personally, I can't see getting worked up about Bubble as possibly being an agent of centralization, as it's not difficult to maintain a separate, allegedly more "permanent" - not to mention mirroring - container, e.g.:

oldernow's gemlog

In distantly related news, it occurred me I could be using "gemget" to scrape the so-called "Lupa database" for Gemini posts containing words of interest.

Finally, every now and then I come across peoples discussing "php", and I guess I remain amazed php is still considered "a thing", as I remember dicking with it back in the 90s, but came under the impression it was suddenly considered the mathematical inverse of "cool"... hence my amazement when reading of others still leveraging it.
