Hello fellow Geminauts!
It's been a long time since I've last updated, but that's because I really haven't had that much to say! But now I'm back baby! And I've got lots to rant about...
First up, I'm slowly getting to grips with Pascal (mainly Object, but also Turbo with FPC), slowly, but we're getting there. C is still total gibberish to me, but I've got some good video and PDF guides that a total idiot could understand, and the ANSI C K&R book, which isn't the *most* beginner friendly, but it's defo good to have. I'm okayish on C++, better than plain C actually, suprisingly enough... I've bout Packt's guide to 'Beginning C++ Game Programming', which I'm using and adapting to create this massive SNES JRPG style game set in a non-persistent world, then I plan to hopefully pair that up with ASIO and get a multiplayer system rigged up online, so that should be fun and a good challenge.
Secondly, I'm getting better at playing D&D, I prefer DM'ing Swords & Wizardry and Dungeon Crawl Classics, but playing 5e can be fun, and it gives me a good insight into what my players want and expect from me as a DM.
Thirdly, I'm back on the horse writing again! I'm starting with some poetry and a few short stories, then going to a new retro crime series, a sci-fi sort of thing which I'm still planning, and then lastly a poetry compilation based around urban themes, I'll try to keep you guys updated on those projects.
Welp, that's all I've got for now, I'm getting back into Gemini, and I'm loving the wealth of new content, hopefully you guys are enjoying mine!
Thanks for reading!
