The warload has the ability to make more than one attack per
round as they raise in level. See table 15 in the second edition
Player's Handbook (p26), this shows how many attacks a warlord
can make per round, as a function of his level.

The main attributes of the warlord are intelligence and
strength. To become a warlord a character must have a minimum
score of 9 in both strength and intelligence. A good dexterity
rating is highly desirable.
A warlord who has a strength and intelligence (his prime
requisites) of 16 or more gains the 10 percent bonus to the
earned experience points he earns.
Although the warlord can use any weapon, he cannot wear armor
heavier than chain, and can not employ a shield.
A warlord must be neutral in alignment, but they can be either,
lawful neutral, true neutral, or chaotic neutral. The warlord
must maintain a balance between good and evil.

A warlord has the following special benefits.

At first level the warlord recieves as a bonus the nonweapon
proficiency known as Spellcraft, and at ninth level the warlord
recives a bonus of +3 to identify spells from the schools of
magic he is able to cast.

A warlord has the abilty of reading languages. The ability
spans all languages from magical, to nonmagical, to ancient, and
present day languages.

A warlord at the ninth level, is able to cast mage spells. A
warlord can only cast spells from the following schools of magic:
Alteration, and Invocavtion/Evocation.

A warlord also at the ninth level developes a skill known as
Simultaneous-Fighting. This ability allows the warlord to cast
spells and fight with a weapon at the same time. This ability
can be used a number of time per day, once for every three
casting levels. (Ex: A 17th level warlord has a casting level of
9, so he can use this ability 3 times per day.) The
simultaneous-fighting skill can only be used with touch spells,
also the warlord must choose a weapon that he want to develope
this skill with.

Any race may become a warlord, but nonhuman characters are
limited to the ninth level. Races that do not use magic cannot
become warlords.
A warlord may not posess more than 10 magical items.
Furthermore, these may not exceed one suit of armor, one shield,
four weapons (arrows and bolts are not counted along with rings),
and four other magical items.
While a warlord can have any montary amount of treasure, they
can not have more treasure than they can carry. Excess treasure
must either be converted to a more more portable form, or donated
to a worthy institution (an NPC group, not a player character).
The warlord will attract a body of soldiers, in the same manner
as a fighter at 9th level, but they will be of the warlord class
instead of the fighter for a Leader on Table 16: Fighter's
Followers under Leader.
